Mango, a stone fruit known for its juicy flesh and lush flavour, is the national fruit of India, Pakistan, and the Philippines, while the mango tree is the national tree of Bangladesh. Native to South Asia and now grown around the world, its production is largely centered in India and China. Its texture varies slightly depending on where it’s grown, but its distinctive sweetness remains constant, as do its high levels of vitamin C.
When enjoying a cup of Mango Melange, a spoonful of sugar or honey brings the mango front and center amid the swirl of tropical influences, although tea purists may also enjoy it simply steeped in water without any additions.
1. Heat water to 97 degrees Celsius
2. Place tea in cup and pour water over the leaves.
3. Steep for 5-7 minutes.
For loose leaf iced teas, use 3 tsp per 237 ml and double the steep time.
