Event Box Sencha 40

Tea Forté's Sencha green tea is skilfully steamed, rolled and pan-fired in a wok to create the ultimate cup. The special characteristic of Sencha tea comes from the method used to dry the tea leaves. After the leaves are picked, they are subjected to a period of steaming, then the leaf is withered to reduce the moisture, after which the leaves are rolled into very fine needles. The process is repeated three times.

Green tea can even help prevent tooth decay! Just as its bacteria-destroying abilities can help prevent food poisoning, it can also kill the bacteria that causes dental plaque.

1. Heat water to 97 degrees Celsius
2. Place tea in cup and pour water over the leaves
3. Steep for 60 to 90 seconds only. Sencha brews quickly, and you don't want to over-steep and risk bitterness
4. Enjoy!

For loose leaf iced teas, use 2 tsp per 237ml glass
