Black tea is the most popular variety of tea in the Western hemisphere, made through a production process involving the harvesting, rolling, oxidation and firing or drying of leaves from the flowering camellia sinensis shrub, which is famed for giving us black, green, white, and oolong tea. Sun-ripened strawberries, raspberries and blueberries are carefully dried and combined with black tea leaves in this spectacular blend, which delivers a subtle boost of energy and an overall sense of renewal. An occasional hint of blue cornflower petal peeks out from the dark berry blend, offering a pop of colour and a subtle floral undertone.
Berry Basket may be accompanied by milk or sugar to taste, and can also be made into an invigorating iced tea by doubling the recommended steep time and pouring over ice. Tea purists may also enjoy it simply steeped in water without any additions, allowing the fruit-forward flavours to stand on their own.
Steeping Instructions
1. Heat water to 97 degrees Celsius
2. Place tea in a cup and pour water over the leaves.
3. Steep for 3-5 minutes.
4. Enjoy!
For loose leaf iced teas, use 2 tsp per 237ml glass.
